The Hard 2 Recycle event is returning to Candler on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm. Help recycle items that would normally end up in the landfill.
Enka Intermediate School will host this event.
Everyone will be routed through the entrance of the school just next to the Terry Gentry Fire Station. Please follow the signage from Sand Hill Road.
What can you bring to the Hard 2 Recycle Event?
Visit the Asheville GreenWorks event page for the complete list, but in a nutshell you can bring the following to recycle for FREE:
Styrofoam
Books
Pre-shredded paper
Batteries
Electronics
Appliances
Scrap metals
They are also accepting all sizes of televisions, monitors and computer screens with a $10 fee (cash or check* only).
*Please make checks out to BIMCO.

Some tips to help the experience as easy as possible:
- Sorting your items before you drop by will help get you throught the line the fastest!
- Come AFTER 12 pm – these events are usually the busiest from 10 am to noon.
