The White Squirrel Festival 2014 is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks – from set up to info booth to beer garden to squirrel box derby and more!
Heart of Brevard’s annual White Squirrel Festival (WSF) is a family-friendly event that celebrates the creativity and talent of this area by featuring regional musicians and artists. The event is successful thanks to the efforts of our great volunteers.
To request volunteer assignments, please review the information below and let us know your availability. We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s preferences, AND we appreciate your flexibility to help us cover the entire event.

Volunteer Details
* WSF runs May 23-25 and is located in downtown Brevard.
* WSF happens RAIN OR SHINE.
* Volunteers receive WSF Staff Shirts along with our sincere appreciation.
* Responsibilities vary based on crew and position.
* A crew leader and WSF staff will support all volunteers.
* All volunteers are asked to sign a liability and media release form.
* Volunteers are key to the success of this event. Please come willing and prepared to fulfill duties appropriately and represent the festival and the community in the best light.
Shifts
* Shifts vary in length — from 2 to 4 hours.
* Please report to the Volunteer Check-In station 15 minutes prior to your shift beginning.
Opportunities or “Crews”
* HOB Festival Support — general support of festival & vendors
* Volunteer Check-in — check in volunteers, confirm assignments, distribute t-shirts, etc.
* Beer Garden — monitor Beer Garden (Music Area) entry and exit points
* Squirrel Box Derby — course set up, registration, race support, etc.
* Information & T-Shirts — provide music and festival info, sell t-shirts, etc.
