Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. The Grammy award-winning music and the infectious energy of its mesmerising choreography and breathtaking performances has left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a global cultural sensation.
To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour, bringing its magic to audiences around the world. This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography and costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. And for the first time Riverdance welcomes “The New Generation” of performers, all of whom were not born when show began 30 years ago.
Audiences will enjoy a unique and memorable performance which blends the traditional and the contemporary, showcasing the skill and passion of the world-class of dancers, musicians and singers in the Riverdance ensemble.

Children’s books are 4/$1, puzzles are $2, and antique books are priced as marked. The sale ends at 1 p.m. Members of the Friends of the Black Mountain Library can shop early at 9:30 a.m.

We open March Melodrama with Gluck’s dramatic Overture to Iphigenie in Aulis. The BRO then highlights pianist Ivan Seng in Mozart’s Concerto No. 23 in A major, K. 488. The second half of the program shifts to Dvorak’s Symphony no.8 in G major, which takes its inspiration from the nature and folk music of his homeland Bohemia, presently the Czech Republic.

The SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament returns to Greenville, S.C, March 5-9. This is the eighth trip to Greenville for the tournament. The city previously hosted the event in 2005, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024.
The winner of the tournament receives the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The event has helped set the stage for SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament, as 31 of the conference tournament champions have advanced to at least the Sweet 16. Four of the last 14 SEC Tournament champions have gone on to win the national championship. The SEC Tournament Champion has failed to win at least one NCAA Tournament game only twice.
Try Tennis for Kids at Hendersonville Racquet Club: A Fun, Affordable Way to Get Into the Game!
Looking for a fun, active way to introduce your child to tennis? Try Tennis for Kids is the perfect program
for children ages 5–14 who are new to the sport or have had minimal experience. Over the course of six
weeks, your child will learn the fundamentals of tennis, including basic strokes, how to rally, and most
importantly, have fun learning a new sport!
For $40, each child will receive a free racquet and instruction from our coaches. This is a fantastic
opportunity to develop important skills in a supportive, welcoming environment.
