Our next Backstage Pass will be hosted by Artistic Associate Matthew Glover. Matthew will be discussing Creating The Magic here at the Playhouse. From concept to curtain, he will take you through the creative process of producing a show on the Mainstage.
About Matthew
Matthew Glover is a Director, Choreographer, Music Director, and the Artistic Associate for Flat Rock Playhouse. He became a Vagabond at age 11, performing in The Sound of Music and The Will Rogers Follies. From there, Matthew continued taking classes at FRP’s YouTheatre (now Studio 52) as well as performing in many other productions at The Rock. He received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Elon University and traveled the world performing in national tours, at regional theaters, on cruise ships, and at theme parks. As a director and choreographer, Matthew’s work has been featured on stages across the country, including FRP’s recent productions of The Little Mermaid, South Pacific, and Cinematastic: The Music of the Movies. Matthew is also the creative behind the annual holiday show, A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas. In addition to his duties as Artistic Associate, Matthew has been co-teaching our musical theatre classes with Studio 52 Director of Education Anna Kimmell.
