The Dirty Dancing Festival was founded in 2010 in the beautiful town of Lake Lure, where much of the classic film Dirty Dancing was filmed.
Start the festivities on Friday night, Aug. 14, with the Lakeside screening of Dirty Dancing. Bring a picnic dinner, some blankets and chairs and cuddle up to watch Dirty Dancing alongside the famous Lake Lure!
There will be food and beverages for sale onsite, please do not bring alcohol.
Continue the fun on Saturday, Aug. 15, for the daytime family dance festival. An an all-day affair with live bands and dance performances, a beer and wine garden, games for all ages, a dance lessons tent, food and craft vendors, and of course the infamous Lake Lift Competition!
