The annual Best of the Mountains Awards Competition recognizes exceptional public relations, marketing communications and design created in the Western North Carolina region.

The Best of the Mountains Awards honor PR, Marketing and Communications excellence in all media including print, broadcast, out-of-home and public service advertising. Competition categories include public service/advocacy, media relations, online marketing, branding/marketing campaigns, publications, crisis management, multi-media communication, special event, advertising campaign, press release and student project.

All entries must be postmarked no later than March 23 and sent to Angela Norris, c/o Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, 36 Montford Ave., Asheville, NC 28801. Entry fees are $35 for PRAWNC members and $70 for non-members. To be eligible for consideration, all work must have been published or aired between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2006.

Finalists will be notified early April and honored during an Awards Dinner at the Crest Center on April 26, 6-8 p.m.

The Public Relations Association of Western North Carolina is a professional association dedicated to providing networking, professional development opportunities, and maintaining the highest standards of conduct for the region's public relations professionals.
