A Rich Heritage For more than 40 years, the arts in Buncombe County have been developed and nurtured by a local arts agency. To better support this vital cultural heritage, the Arts Alliance was created in 1993 by reorganizing the Community Arts Council in response to recommendations made through a community-wide planning process. The changes were designed to forge new partnerships to address community issues, improve the quality of arts programming and increase involvement in the arts.
Contributions Your contribution will support a wide spectrum of cultural activities. Your gift is combined with funding from the N.C. Arts Council and Buncombe County for allocation to diverse organizations presenting cultural arts programming. The Arts Alliance manages a stringent granting process to see that your money is invested well and wisely.
